Brown City Football Coaching Staff
I am entering my fourth year as the Head Coach of Brown City Football. My past coaching experience includes two seasons as a Freshman and JV coach, two seasons as a Varsity Assistant and Special Teams Coach, two seasons as a Defensive Coordinator, and two seasons as an Offensive Coordinator, all at North Branch High School. In my time on the Varsity staff at North Branch the school made 2 of it’s 3 playoff appearances in school history. Outside of football I also have 12 years of basketball coaching experience at all levels from Junior High to Varsity.
My family consists of my wife (Ashley) and two sons Connor (13) and Lawson (9) who all enjoy sports. When not coaching or teaching I enjoy relaxing with my family and golfing.
Varsity Assistant- Defensive Coordinator
Coach McClintic is entering his twenty third season as a football coach. He will be coaching the offensive and defensive lines on the varsity. Coach McClintic is currently the High School Dean of Students and a Social Studies Teacher. Outside of football Coach McClintic enjoys spending time with his wife Erika and his three kids Anna, Emma, and Gabe.
I was a linebacker at University of Arkansas before joining the Marine Corps. I was then a linebacker on the intramural Marine Corps league until deployment. I started coaching youth football at the local YMCA in Pennsylvania. When I moved to Brown City, I was an assistant coach for Varsity. My speciality is coaching linebackers, defensive line and wide receivers. I enjoy coaching because I enjoy the challenge of molding young men into the players I know they can be. On a personal note, I am a Marine Corps veteran and retired from the Pentagon. I am married and have a son that will be a future Green Devil.
JV Head Coach
I graduated from Marine City high school in 2003 where I played Football, Wrestling, and Track. I am entering my 13th season of coaching football. I have coached at the Varsity and JV levels. I currently coach the lineman and linebackers. I love coaching because I would not be the person I am today if it was not for football and my coaches and I want to pass that along to the next generation. The life skills you learn in football you will carry with you the rest of your life along with the memories. When not coaching I enjoy spending time on the St.Clair river fishing, boating, or kayaking.
Jr. High Head Coach
I am a 1992 graduate of of the Brown City school district where I currently teach 3rd grade. I was an assistant varsity football coach for 2 years for the Memphis Yellow Jackets. I served as the special teams coach along with working with the defensive backs, running backs and wide receivers. My first year in Memphis we won the NCTL (North Central Thumb League) championship. This will be my fourth year of coaching junior high football at Brown City. For the 2017-18 season I will be the junior high head coach. I played 3 years of varsity football here at Brown City where as a senior I was an honorable mention All-State football player earning first team All Blue Water Area, first team STA (Southern Thumb Athletic Association) and STA Offensive Player of the Year while being voted team MVP by my peers. I enjoy coaching because I like to teach. The football field is an extension of the classroom. Players can learn many things on the football field that relate to the “real world”. Players have to learn how to deal with success and failure, highs and lows, along with wins and losses. I believe that if I can teach players how to deal with these issues with dignity and pride while respecting their opponent, they will be able to use that throughout their lives. Football is the ultimate team sport where success is a direct result of all eleven players that are on the field working together and trusting in each other to do their job. There are life lessons to be learned while playing sports and as long as I can help players learn those lessons I will continue to coach. I am married to my wife Nicole and together we have a daughter Samantha and son Aaron.
